HGV Transport Academy

Put Yourself in the Driving Seat 

Fast track your way into a new career through the Lisburn & Castlereagh Transport Academy which will provide training to obtain a Category C (Class 2) licence or a Category D (PCV bus / coach licence).  Participation in the Academy connects successful participants with employment opportunities. 

Who can apply?

Candidates must meet the following criteria to apply:

  • a resident of the council area
  • be unemployed or work less than 16 hours per week
  • hold a valid UK Driving Licence for at least two years
  • willing to undertake a medical examination
  • be available for training, medical, theory and practical aspects of the academy
