Prepare yourself for a career in hospitality
Our Lisburn and Castlereagh Labour Market Partnership Hospitality Academy is bringing our residents a new and exciting fast track programme for residents who are economically inactive.
Through this FREE programme you will gain three qualifications over a 3-week period.
What you will learn
RSPH Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Hygiene
This will take participants through the key areas which must be considered in the preparation and service of food.
It also provides a thorough understanding of food safety procedures emphasising the importance of monitoring and controls.
RSPH Level 2 Award in Identifying and Controlling Food Allergy Risks
This will provide participants with an understanding of why food allergens need to be controlled and strategies for control, such as keeping and making available information about allergen ingredients, reducing cross contamination, improving communication and providing advice to consumers.
C&G Level 2 Award in Principles of Customer Service in Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism
This will provide participants with essential knowledge and skills required for a successful career in customer service for the travel and tourism, leisure and hospitality sectors.
It will include the characteristics and benefits of excellent customer service, internal and external customers, and organisational procedures for customer service.
Who can apply?
To be eligible for enrolment on the 'Hospitality Academy', you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- have a keen interest in the hospitality sector
- be over 18 years of age
- be economically inactive
- eligible to work in Northern Ireland
- be residing in the Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council area
- be ‘settled’ in Northern Ireland, and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least three years
OR is a person who has indefinite leave to enter or remain in the UK.
