Tourism Small Grants

Introduction

Our Tourism Development Unit proposes to provide financial assistance to organisations/individuals for small events/projects held within the council area and which show measurable benefits for the area.

 

Core criteria

The Tourism Development Unit will give consideration to financially supporting events/ projects that can provide evidence of supporting one or all of the following:

  • attraction of domestic visitors and participants to the Lisburn and Castlereagh area
  • generation of positive publicity for our area
  • requires financial assistance from us to ensure the overall success of the event
Where the main purpose of an event/project is to raise money for a charity and/or charities, financial assistance will not be provided by us. 

Other information

We would encourage early application for support by offering to feature the event in our promotional activity where appropriate.  

All applications will be treated fairly and a scoring matrix used to evaluate them.

The award of the grants will be at our discretion.
